Radiant Phoenix Bird| Distress Ink Watercoloring| Color Mixing| Hero Arts

Today’s video features a radiant design using this gorgeous phoenix bird. Watch the video to see distress ink watercoloring tips and mixing techniques. I designed this card with Juneteenth (June 19^th) in mind. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. President Lincoln signed and enacted the Emancipation Proclamation January 1, 1863, but certain states, Texas being one of them, did not head the proclamation and slaves did not know that they were free until two and a half years later. It is said that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 announcing that the Civil War had ended and that slaves were now free.

Congrats On Your Graduation

Welcome Friends! More graduate card inspiration using the Scrapbook.com Graduation stamp set. This card came together quickly.

This is an A2 card where I heat embossed the large graduation word directly on the white card panel. I heat embossed the congrats on your sentiment onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. The graduation hat (mortar board) is from my stash. I added dots from a black gel pen to accent the image.
